Who Stole My Dream

Always wanted to be a hero
But I am just another zero
I don’t live in a mansion
I can’t cope with fashion
I don’t drive the car I desired
I don’t have the job I aspired
Dreamt I would be a doctor
Thought I would be a lifesaver
Papa wished I was a pilot
But I’m only a failed poet

Who stole my dream? X 4

As I step into the future
I gotta be all so positive
I gotta be all so decisive
I gotta reclaim my glory
Gotta shatter the shackles of poverty
Gotta break the bonds of paucity
I’m gonna rise from the ashes
I’m gonna give my life a new meaning
Build a fancy house, buy a fancy car
Buy a fancy phone, marry a queen
Travel first class, into the future
