Who Shall I Share My Agony?

In a town where shadows danced in alley's embrace,
Lived a man named Elias, with sorrowed grace.
A forge once lit bright, now tarnished and dim,
His dreams lay in ruins, a whisper, a hymn.

Days blurred into nights as the clock solemnly chimed,
His pockets, once heavy, now echoes of grime.
He roamed through the markets, where laughter would swell,
With each passing face, he felt lost in his shell.

Once, in the twilight of youth’s fragrant bloom,
He loved with a passion that lit up the room.
Elena, a beacon with warmth in her gaze,
Held his heart in her hands through carefree days.

But the fates turned against him, a storm brewing strong,
His fortunes were fleeting, and the love felt wrong.
She left with a whisper, a promise unkept,
While he wallowed in silence, alone as he wept.

“Who shall I share my agony?” he cried to the night,
As hope slipped through fingers, like sand in flight.
His faith, once a compass, now faltered, unsure,
A tempest of doubt where his spirit was poor.

The remnants of trust, like shards of a glass,
Reflected the hurts from the echoes of past.
With each new encounter, he built up his walls,
Awash in the echoes of love’s bitter calls.

Now burdened with sorrow, he wandered the streets,
Where the weight of his worries weighed heavy in beats.
He spoke to the moon, and the stars lent an ear,
Yet the comfort they offered felt distant, austere.

One evening, he paused by a fountain so still,
Where a child bent to drink, with laughter to fill.
With innocence dancing like fireflies bright,
She splashed in the water, oblivious to plight.

“Why do you frown, sir? The world’s full of cheer!
There’s magic in mornings, in each new frontier!”
Her words, like a balm, wrapped around his despair,
Awakened a spark in the depths of the air.
