Who Knows
Who knows what waits in the wings
or why hearts are fragile things?
Who knows if his love is true
or if he's lying to you?
Who knows why your anger dies
when he stares into your eyes?
Who knows if hope is in vain
or if time will heal your pain?
Who knows how love got its start
or found its way to your heart?
Who knows if today will bring
you pain or a wedding ring?
Who knows if angels are real
or just how good life can feel?
Who knows what love's all about
or why your heart harbors doubt?
Who knows if dreams can come true
or if he'll stop loving you?
You can't be sure where life goes,
it's anyone's guess; who knows?
