Who For

Someone asked me once,
"How would you like to be remembered?"

Would i like to be remembered by things ive done,
Or some acknowlegment of the awards ive won,
To see my name in neon lights,
Just another shallow hero in my own sight,
I dont want my life to be etched in stone,
In an unmarked grave to die alone
I would just enjoy a smile from one good deed,
Or to comfort another when their tired heart bleeds
To be remembered for my own sake will quickly pass,
But to be remembered by Christ will forever last.
