Who Don'T Like Kids - For Jubilant Joy Contest

Who Don’t Like Kids

Glee is a word that I’d rarely choose
My lexicon has it, but it’s little used
But now it’s right there on the tip of my tongue
Where glee now resides with euphoric and fun

For where I found sorrow now I find joy
It’s down to the birth of my new baby boy
I’ve almost forgotten the shock that I had
And that dreadful thought that I’d soon be a dad

I’d feared that my plight would be sleepless nights
While sitting awake till it’s nearly light
But now it’s alright, the future looks bright
And now I don’t tremble with fright

When he’s a toddler he’ll go pitter patter
But for the moment he’s just gonna splatter
his nappy like ten times a day
(That’s diaper in the U S of A)

A dad will stay home and act fatherly
That sacrifice don’t mean that much to me
For nothing can dampen my utter glee
Cos my one night stand has custody
