Who Cares

Who cares?
Those were days past
When Africans used to be brothers
When everyone shared when something bothers
When we all united against immorality
When a child belonged to the community
Now everyone on his own
Because none cares

Gone are days of blood brotherhood
When all norms had meaning
When a kinsman never would sleep hungry
When we shared a pot of soup
When we talked openly but gently
Now everyone on his own
Because none cares

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Its not about Africans..Its about Europeans like me too..Actually its about the whole world.God have us a Heaven and we created a hell. Greed,Power ,Money is ruling us..and sadly we don't find it as easy to care .to feel..to love..Its as if we got immune to the hypocrtatic system.Awesome write with plenty of wisdom and a powerful message.Lets love more..Care more..Share more.Fantastic write.

This seems possible - "Now everyone on his own Because none cares", but I like to believe that if you were ever in big trouble, there would be so many that rally around and help you that you would be amazed. Welcome to Poetry Soup. What your saying does make sense some days.
