Who Are You?
She wakes up in the hospital
She don't remember where she's at
Her husband sits beside her
She asks the nurses, "Who's that?"
They tell her he's her husband
But she jerks her hand away
His eyes well up with tears
For he knew not what to say
Married for almost fifteen years
She couldn't remember his name
"She has amnesia" the doctor said
"And she may never be the same"
"I love you", her husband says
As she stares out into space
She answers, "I'm sorry I don't know you"
With no expression on her face
"You were in an accident" her husband says,
"It's a miracle that you even survived"
"You died on the way to the hospital,
But they finally got you revived"
"I don't know you," she says once more
This was too much for him to believe
When the woman started to get upset
They quietly asked him to leave
She never recovered and filed for divorce
And started a brand new life
Her husband still waits, for her memory to return
Though now she's another man's wife
