Who Are We

We pose to impress the unimpressed
And yet wake up to try something new.
Its humanity to pretend
Clear our riches for an event.
We are attracted to the illusions of this land
While the sun is dying on our time
Are you still the same person during the night?
Can you see what a poet sees?
Do you know who you are out of pretend?
