Who Am I
WHO AM I?
I may be dressed in colours
of grey brown and white
and being quiet and tiny
yet can cause quite a fright.
I'm found in different places
sometimes I can run free,
other times I am where
I just don't want to be.
I'm only worth a few cents
if you bought me in a shop
but it's a different story
when I am given the chop.
Now you must have guessed,
that I'm a little mouse,
maybe you have seen me,
running in your house.
I've become imortalised
by a furniture man of fame
who carved tiny wooden mice
Robert Thompson was his name.
I sit on antique furniture
which causes the price to rise
whether tables desks or chairs
once found I'm greatly prized.
You may not have been pleased
to see me running in your house
but you'll derive great pleasure
to find this special wooden mouse.
