Who Am I

Do you think I’m immune to pain, to heartache?
Do you think I’ve never cried in the night?
Do you think my life is easy?
Just because I try to get things right?

Do you think I don’t complain
When things don’t go my way?
Do you think I don’t get weary
Of facing yet another day?

Do you think I think I’m special?
That I think I’m better than you are?
Oh, if you only knew how wrong,
That compared to me you’re a superstar.

Most days I’d gladly trade places
Some days I don’t want to be me
If you and I could just swap faces
Tell me, then, who would I be?
