White Winds
White Winds by David Lustrup 2019
deaths white winds flow toward me slow
ever mocking morning light
hungering that i should know
its black and moonless night
the giggling of children
sweet sweet oblivion
how they play among the bones
the meaning of them far from mind
to know again that innocence
where final beds nay do exist
to be free of the knowing
of the finality so near
i would that my heart would swell again
with days gone by
and loves rapturous morphine
causing sun rays and flora to fill the air.....
one by one the stars fall
heavenly lights falling from the night
they land upon my heart and hands,
and lead me into forever......
