White Versus Black-Black Versus White

Violence is wrong, but I do understand.
We all need a line that’s been drawn in the sand.
Frustration and fear with a boiling point.
We need to make change and this needs to be joint.

Not one side can fix what’s wrong with the other.
We need a joint effort with each one another.
Look deep inside and come up with a plan.
Black and White need to join and share rights in this land.

I hope this can happen, before I do die.
Our children deserve more than a black or white eye.
Swallow your pride and take in what you see.
This is about those oppressed and not the white you and me.

Nobody can go back and change our history and past.
But each one of us can learn and make changes that last.
This race war is too much, I’m exhausted and tired.
We need to wake up and change how we’re wired.
