White Tiger
Beautiful, deadly, deep blue eyes
Winking to me warmly, very shy
Just in time to make me aware
Of one more of man’s absurd claims
In name of good or welfare men did again
Trap her free God given soul, so unfairly
Restricted to some kind of cage
Forcing her gentle, light, and careful steps
To move about in a limited damn space
As she prematurely ages
Hiding the miserable truth of her coffin-like fate
Screaming aloud what once was a proud roar
Making me aware of how, once more, mankind
Has done wrong in his greedy act
Exploiting yet another of God’s free loving creatures
Until they too run out of time
It triggers a very sad, cold tear to fall from my eye
Ashamed to be part of the destructive family of mankind
Fearing to blink and waste the precious time
To clear my disbelieving sad water-filled eyes
Thinking this could be the time
Where the blue-eyed white tiger
Runs out of time
