White Silence

Winter coats proliferate, the earth is stilled by snowflakes slowly drifting, swirling, shifting, sifting down, a whirling, curling cloud of white confetti.

I feel the stillness and smell the crisp air; and remember when the snowflakes used to sit on my eyelashes. Winter isn't all that bad, it has it's own magic too and much of it flies around as those light airey flakes.
