The second series of Haiku poems I am sharing. Many of these poems I've had for years, and they have gone through a few revisions. Enjoy!
1. Dusk in Passing
Faces pass like streams,
caught in the city’s quiet—
footsteps fade to dusk.
2. Rest in the Chase
Moonlight on water,
a ripple breaks its still face,
then calm swallows all.
3. Hope in the Clay
Clay waits in warm hands,
molded by breath and rough hope—
use finds its own way.
4. Thoughts Like Dust
Drifting off to dreams,
a cool breeze sweeps the night air—
thoughts settle like dust.
5. Breath of Morning
Soft petals leaning,
morning’s light spills warm and low,
earth stirs, breathing deep.
6. Raindrops and Bloom
raindrops on warm earth,
tiny blooms push through the mud,
soft petals unfold.
