Whispers of a Friend
In the quiet moments of dawn’s first light,
I hear your laughter, soft and bright.
Though you have gone to realms unknown,
Your spirit lingers, I’m not alone.
We walked together, hand in hand,
Through life’s vast and varied land.
Your smile, a beacon in the night,
Guided me through darkest plight.
Now the days feel long and cold,
Without your warmth, without your hold.
Yet in my heart, you still reside,
A cherished friend, forever by my side.
The stars above, they seem to weep,
For a soul so kind, now in eternal sleep.
But I will carry on, with strength anew,
For every step I take, I take for you.
