Whispers In the Night
You and me and the man in the moon
standing all alone under a starry sky.
Midnight whispers a tempting lover’s tune
as the nightingale sings his lullaby.
Standing face to face I gaze into your eyes
as the full moon shines on the lake so bright.
Somewhere in the distance a lone wolf cries;
I whisper in your ear you look lovely tonight.
The scent of the pine trees lingers in the air
as I hold your body in a warm embrace;
I run my fingers through your silky hair;
the whispers of the breeze caress your face.
The night stands still as our hearts eclipse
while standing under the post oak bough.
I feel your body tremble as I kiss your lips;
I hear you softly whisper I need you now.
