Whispers and Fears
The avoidance, the whispers, the fear
of fellow Jews now daily I hear
Do I dare walk around with my skullcap on
If I see Palestinians, should I run
Tonight marks the first Chanukah light
that 21st century Jews crouch in fear, out of sight
