Whispering Woods

Miles and miles of radiant trees
in silent shimmering green
gypsy game of light and shadow
 in whispering woods all unseen.

silver and golden in playful cheers
chorus of colors merging to white
crackles of squirrels in misty wet
a waterfall roaring in pure delight

Rhythm in lake with darling ducks
webs flapping a magic pristine
leaves giggle with rustling breeze
soft sounds in the forest serene

Do I hear those voiceless screams ?
tender deers and shrieking peacocks
bare lies the moon, as the forests burn
my heart can't hear stones and rocks.
