Whispered
Whispered……
(Poetic Form :: LaGrange Quatrain)
After the lock down norms ceasing
met an old friend, asked how you
managed to stay home, his teasing
story shared, I's feeling blue.
After sumptuous meal resting
on sofa, calm still, eyes closed;
tried to think deeply for getting
answers to questions, he posed.
Simple questions, aim of knowing
who is he, from where he came
what's purpose, where he'll be going?
felt, If can’t know, it's a shame.
And then he heard his wife yelling
from kitchen in her own way;
you're lazy man, never helping,
agree what my friends say.
God knows from where you have arrived;
Your purpose, like a moron
to spoil life, Mom aptly advised.
Get up now to clean the lawn.
What a fate without much toiling
of thinking about so deep
got reply for each annoying
questions; got up, moved to sweep.
Friend said, knowledge gained instantly
with no labor, he’s so sad;
just whispered manage skillfully;
meeting him today felt too bad.
