I'm new at writing Haikus, which is why I'm a bit confused. Even though I love the wording of your poem, I see it's not according to the 5/7/5 or the 6/7/6 combination? Or is this 4/4/3 combination also allowed? I would love to know, thank you.

I might have accidentally blocked you since your comment on the haiku 'They know' mysteriously disappeared??? Please excuse my clumsiness :)

I started with the 5-7-5 taught in school and over the years slowly migrated to whatever is needed to capture the moment. Usually it is 3 lines and short but I rarely count syllables. I strive for a smooth turn and clear imagery for that single moment. The traditional haiku poet still exists but I’m not one. Hope that helps.
