While Leaving Wake Me

go around my
group of
seedlings,
go about my
lush of green
leaves.
do not thread
on my efforts
please,
do not rain
upon my
drying leaves.
lend a tap on
the back to me,
lend a
compliment,try
to please.
my plants
wither
because no
one sees.

pick a tour
group or a
guide,
take the dying
soil for a ride.
see the
cassava trees,i
swell with
pride.
try a produce;
invest in time.
time!
thats what a
lazy farmer
buys
thats all his
imaginations
provide.

though the
farm is barren
now
though its
fallow for a
year now
time will
provide all we
need,
time will put
the lazy
farmer out of
misery
he sits;hand to
cheeks
he sits,he falls
to sleep.
that is all he
did these
passed season.
thats all he
reaped for
some reason.

go around my
ripening reaps,
taste a
few,take a few.
while leaving
wake me
while leaving
wake me.
