Where the Magic Began

The sparkle, the shimmer, the flashing lights
The darkened stage where the magician stands
Inciting the awe in this child's eyes
As he crafts bewilderment in his hands

Spectacles grand in nature await
Captivating audiences night after night
Time will elapse, but the amazement remains
My inner child squeals in pure delight

When the evening ends with thundering applause
The audience re-enters reality
But I stay behind, relishing this feeling
The theater awakens my vitality

I finally step away, with everything I can
But I'll always remember, where the magic began
