Where Poets Live

There is a land where poets live
That's neither here nor there
A special place inside our souls
Where words are made to share

A place where muses all run free
Filled with anticipation
Where poets wait to contemplate
And find their inspiration

Where letters sit until they're picked
While pleading with the poet's quill
They want to be next to fill his text
To do the poet's will

The letters are the poet's children
That will grow into a word
They bask in fame as they hear their name
Each time the poem is heard

There is a land where poets live
We see them every day
For poets live in all of us
When we have something to say
