Where Monsters Sleep

Eons have known this place,
It's secrets hidden deep.
Man cannot fathom them,
Where do monsters sleep ?

Has time indeed stood still
For creatures such as they.
Or are we just fanciful,
Are our minds at play.

But on some stormy, moonlit night
From way down in the deep,
Does something stir, awakening.
Is this where monsters sleep ?
