Where Life Goes

I should really be almost gone
start the process of moving on
But I don't want you to ever say goodbye

We have almost come to the end
started as lovers moving to friends
Don't think I have ever this pain before

This is more than I can take
My heart is almost about to break
When I let you walk out of that olden door

Can I ever let this go
Moving too fast, going too slow
I have almost reached the end of the line

But then we come to the end
Parting as just mere friends
That is just where the life has gone.

A deep sad write on love lost and steps taken or not taken afterward... enjoyed your work today...Michael
