In my poetic journey, a road once taken,
A view once seen and a heart once broken,
As fallen man, all truth was once forsaken,
In its place, was accepted an evil token..........
Where Leaps Hot Desires In Adoring Breast Here atop this majestic mountain crest, Amidst flying winds that soothe aching soul, Looking at earth, at Nature's very best, Where resides a force man can not control; Man, mortal man his heart too often weeps, For selfish pleasures, treasures not his due, Clear views of darkness, as so oft it creeps, In crashing waves as evil deeds accrue. Thus flows Fate's decrees, its accursed hand, As Truest of loving heart cries out for you, Seeing this vast, beautiful ancient land,- In glory, as its gems Nature's renews; As did your Touch, this scene sets heart aglow, Where leaps hot desires in Adoring breast, Born of Truth, jewels only True love knows, Stronger than gales cast at Nature's behest. As with your Touch, this scene sets heart aglow. Born of Truth, jewels only True love knows. Robert J. Lindley, 10-23-2019 Rhyme, ( Whence Given A Clear View Of True Life and Romance) Note: In my poetic journey, a road once taken, A view once seen and a heart once broken, As fallen man, all truth was once forsaken, In its place, was accepted an evil token..........

My Russian syllabic-tonic ear (unlike an English one, syllabic), hears the fifth line (Where Lips Hot Desires In Adoring Breast) as a classic amphibrach tetrameter. The twenty-first line, which has 12 syllables (Stronger than gales cast at Nature's behest), sounds to me like a dactylic tetrameter. Look out, guys, there's a reason) P.S.: I think I can finally put into words my impressions of your poetry, Robert. This is the Earth, the ground which poetry grows from. My poetry either.

Quite beautifully penned Robert. "lear views of darkness, as so oft it creeps,", it does indeed, as we are human. Love this line too, "Stronger than gales cast at Nature's behest." Beautiful.

Thank you my friend. "Clear views of darkness, as so oft it creeps,"- Sad reality is too often such clear views are not ever seen or else are seen far and tragically too late. Humanity is tied to Mother Nature far too deeply and dependently than we arrogant mortals like to admit. Yet should be admitted more by we poets than by any other group, IMHO. God bless....

your vocabulary is brilliant and you created a very good flowing and rhyming poem, despite the restrictions of 10 syllables...
