Where I Want To Be

When I wake up and see your face
Lying there, wrapped in your embrace

Looking in your eyes, you’re where I want to be
It makes me smile because I realize how much you mean to me

There’s no way I could ever leave you
Even if I wanted to, I can’t be without you

I don’t understand these feelings
I’ve never had them before

It hurts so bad, but feels so good
All at the same time, I need you by my side

I try to imagine life without you
It makes me cry even trying to

**** happens
And it makes me realize what I have

I drop to my knees
And thank the Lord that you’re with me

Is this young love Stacy? I used to know the feeling. Now it's become comfortable love. But it's still where I always want to be. You've written a good expression of the feeling. Randy aka Rockman
