Where I Go Each Night

I love my zany night time adventures, they are always filled with excitement and fun. I lie down, and close my eyes, and hear the whistling of a train, and an African drum. Tonight, will we be visiting in this hemisphere, or somewhere in outer space? I shut my eyes with excitement, eager to leave this ordinarily, common place. My imagination takes over; I see new colors I have never seen before. I’m in a spaceship, with my sidekick MariBee, who is my good friend forevermore. MariBee has wild purple and orange hair, and slick green skin with truly fun brown spots. She wears a silver spacesuit, and has a bright blue rounded helmet with bright pink polka dots. We have happily investigated places no other earthlings have ever been. We have conquered worlds, invented robot creatures, and swam with fishgirls without men. We have built orphanages, and saved children whose mommies and daddies were pretty mean. We have had picnics, and carnivals, and parades like the world has never ever seen. Our best adventures, and I mean by far, are the ones we have beyond the nearest star. We travel other galaxies, because we have an efficient time travel space car. We have tamed Lump-A-Bumps, and teased Jack-o-deer, who can jump higher than our skyscrapers. We have magically built gray and brown stone castles out of plain, old-fashioned cardboard papers. We have taken glorious lunches and catnaps with kings and queens of countries ever so dear. We have planted gardens with say-say fruits, and vegetable-flowers, totally unheard of here. Waking from our travels is a disappointment I suffer from when the world turns light. I tried to explain it to my peers, but they do not understand where I go each night.

Thank you, when I was young, I had a dream that extended itself almost a year; I have not forgotten that.
