Where I Go

I am falling apart inside.
It hurts but I try to hide.
It’s fear that keeps me in the dark.
All this bite but I can barely bark.
I’m tired.
I’m weak.
I’ve failed so many times.
God how can you redeem
something so below you?
So damn unrefined?

I mess up more times than I can count.
But yet you let me breathe each day.
Please tell me what this is all about?
I don’t want to hurt another person.
I don’t want to become so hard.
I just want to know why, Lord?
Why did I come this far?

Am I destined to fall flat again?
Is something about to happen?
I can’t take another hit, God.
Please tell me what this is all about.
I’m falling and I can’t get right.
I just keep falling
and there’s not end in sight.

I fail too much.
I fall so hard.
I just keep tripping over it.
The self-doubt is so overwhelming.
When does end, Lord?
How do I stop self-shaming?

No matter the complaints.
The difficulty of the path.
I’ll keep walking forward.
I’ll keep breathing each next til the last.
I’ll keep praising Your name,
Until my life is in the past.

Beyond that veil,
One day you wait,
For me to traipse through
those incredible gates.
Yes, I’m tired God.
This you already know.
But I have a promise you made
that everywhere I am
You will surely go.
