Where I Come From

I am from little toys, from hair gel to vases. I am from the Foster Home and the scent of cleaning. I am from the growing basil, the fallen tree out back whose long gone limbs I remember as if they were my own. I'm from movie nights and silver coins and from loud Christmas feasts. I'm from giants and Krampus and "God Bless America!" I'm from watching the fireworks from Cali and Michigan, pineapple on pizza. I'm from Indian princesses, Kings with forgotten names. With pictures on the wall in the bedroom I'll remember forever.

Your poem is outstanding, and fun to read. It tells so much! You have been in two states I have also lived in, so it was easy to relate. Welcome to Poetry Soup, Brodius.
