Where Have I Gone

I have no reflection
Where have I gone
The music once golden no longer a song

Lost, so afraid
I dare to recall
The laughter, the thunder, the wonder, all

I'm beaten, you've won
I'm empty and low
You've trampled my essence, ravaged my soul

You've taken my best for a cold heartless craving
My life didn't matter
A life not worth saving

Where have I gone
I want to awaken
A dream gone awry, a life forsaken

This is sad and deep. A question many ask. What happened to the life I planned, how did I end up here?

Yes, I have to say it is. Everyone has a story. We all hope for that happy ending...I guess it's all perspective, mo?

ah, what can I say but thank you kindly...this is one of those shadows from within that finally made it out into the sunshine; a quiet yet magnificent rebirth, I'd say.

who ever wronged you should be sentenced with a crime. This poem is a good example of letting go of the blues....you are a good poet with deep feelings.

I'm laughing because I just replied to myself instead of you....past the bed time for sure. So this was or is my reply to your kind message - ah, what can I say but thank you kindly...this is one of those shadows from within that finally made it out into the sunshine; a quiet yet magnificent rebirth, I'd say.
