Where Has the Time Gone

Tick-Tock morning has come Tick-Tock evening is done Tick-Tock the time for sleep has run Second by second it runs This man-made contraption Tells you of the time you have As if you could hold time This hour is for breakfast This hour is for lunch Perhaps you had added one for brunch Don't forget these ones are for work Tick-Tock the year is gone Tick-Tock the age has grown Tick-Tock the clock has rung What are your resolutions For this new time Be careful now.... These seconds are counting your life Did you save them for friends Did you save them for family Did you save some for life Tick-Tock Does it tell you when it stops?

Fuzzy SK, first of all your poem is thought provoking when relating to time. The part I could relate to the most was, "This man-made contraption tells you of the time you have As if you could hold time". That is a profound realization because I see it as trying to control something that is out of man's hands. A great piece. thanks for sharing.
