Where Faeries In the Forest Alight

See those snowdrops? The grandma said.
The child nodded her tiny blonde head.
This is where faeries in the forest alight.
They increase the flower’s hues so bright.

The child was entranced now more than ever before.
She learned more about the faeries and their lore.
Searching for them daily among the snowdrops.
Sometimes seeing something invisible during their hops.

The snowdrops had heard the story too.
They loved showing the child love, shaking their dew.
The child is a grandma now, sharing the story today.
With her own child, amusing the snowdrops and the fey.
