Where Do I Stand

Where do I stand?
When it's just you and me
we are all we can be
but then I wanted to meet the other
and soon I became a forgotten another
comics, you write
But I'm left to myself
scripts, sent by text
But once again
I'm on the sidelines
Pushed to the shadows;
Ignored,
Behind you,
forgotten.
So I ask you,
Where do I stand?
When I try to jump in,
I'm shut out
something is buzzing,
it's not jealousy though-
I'm hurt...
do you understand that?
It's like i cease to exist
when she's around
why?
we are all the same
at least I the we were
I do not understand,
why when she's around
I am pushed to the ground
Why must I be left alone?
Why can't we be a group of three?
You, me, and her
Three girls
Three friends...
Why must I stand alone?
So please tell me,
Where do I stand?

I think we have all felt this way. I don't do well in groups at all. I either feel like I'm neglecting someone, or feel neglected. But it takes a lot to express these feelings. And it hurts the most when you love someone that suddenly acts differently when around other friends. Anyhow, a very sad poem. Always, Laura
