Where Do I Belong

You let me when we can hardly talk
It takes a lot of courage to walk
Away from the home you call your own
But you opted to see a new dawn

We barely feel you here
Wanted to keep you near
But you were too far away
So far that you’re already out of sight

Tell me why you had to go
I want to know
I’m afraid to walk in the dark
Without you by my side
Now that you’re gone who will be my guide
So please tell me why

You were anxious for my future
I worry about your condition
You set out a long journey without preparation
Now that you’re away, where do I belong?
