Where Did You Go

Where did you go?
Departing from the show.
You said you wanted to leave.
You said you couldn't breathe.

Now the nights go by,
wondering when and why?
Did we ever believe?
What are we to perceive?

Running, afraid of the rain,
underground from the hurricane.
Where is your god?
Looking with his blank facade.

Saying prayers like a drug,
sweeping our thoughts beneath the rug.
Would you kill to prove you're right?
Would you kill, to save a life?

What do I do with my soul?
Let it go, from your control.
Life is ours to let it grow.
The love we had, we had to let it go.
