Where Did I Go?

Where did I go?
I know I'm here
I can feel the air 
enter & leave
I don’t remember who I am
how long has this been
since I knew where to be
I cant find my place
I cant find my soul
I step outside myself
to see only a shell
The inner me is gone
but gone for how long

Where did I go
I know I am here
but for how long
I lost my being 
somewhere down the road
there came a fork 
I don’t remember which way to go
I burned out - crashed 

Where did I go
I know I am here
I can feel the air
enter & leave
that’s all I can feel
I stand to gaze around me
to watch the world spin
only to ask myself
where did I go
