When your name is not mentioned

You take the femininity of my stance,
decide that I never stood a chance
To be the greatest player in all the league.
The moment I’d spoke
and how I would joke, never put your fear at ease.
After sipping wine and after sipping mine
it was like you were giving me advice
You speak like you know, yet really you don’t
I’m learning to not even think twice
I don’t know from where you’ve got the impression,
that you have the power to truly lessen every part of me and my best intentions
I think someone’s hurt when their name is not mentioned.
You yearn for a loop that you chose to lose
you act like a gift that we should all choose
It’s starting to feel like you’re leaving me clues.
I’m not so convinced by this satisfaction;
It feels like a master plan, a deafening distraction.
All of those times you’ve schemed to make pain
thinking you’d made a storm, you can’t even make rain.
You’re just an eye-roll, a deep sigh and I’m fine
all of this jealousy, none of it’s mine.
So next time you decide to curse all of my skies
I’d save all your breath, I’d save all that time
because my world will keep spinning, I’ll get on with my day
while you talk and you talk, till there’s nothing to say.
