When You Awake

As the evening moon- begins to rise
And the evenings sun- sinks and dies
I've got to see- another day gone past
And so, I'm blessed- it's not, my last

Not the last day- In this life I live
For I have much- so more to give
To give to you- straight from my heart
To take with you- for when I part

I hope my gift- prove be worthwhile
To show some hope- That'll make you smile
And let you know- when you feel blue
Up there, or here- I'll be there for you

I'll be there for you- for when you wake
And in the morning- for you to take
My gift I give- so much to spare
To show my love- to show my care

So, share my gift- to family and friends
To give to them- when your life ends
A little hope- for them to keep
Each passing night- before they sleep

As the morning sun- waves hello
And the evenings moon- fades its glow
I hope and pray- for heaven's sake
It'll fare you well- when you awake

All's well that ends --- oops, continues --- oops --- continues to the end. I'm a bit confessed, it seems. ~ Oopsie Goldberg

I can relate to the first stanza as well as the last. The 'in between' was inspirational and hopeful. Wishing you well
