When You Are In Love
You are floating on a sea of emotions
riding on the crest of every wave,
every thought you have is of devotion
following your heart like a slave.
Sometimes it’s like an ocean in turmoil
it drags you down and spins you around,
but when you rise you’re dazzled by the sunlight
and no sign of the storm can be found.
No-one can explain the way you’re feeling
things appear much different than before,
there is no logic to explain your emotions
but you won’t seem to care anymore.
You feel as though your up in the clouds
looking down from your chariot of love,
the world below is now all about you
and the angel you plucked from above.
