When You

There is no other you,
Nor shall there ever be again.
One whose birth made angels sing
And your mom so joyful when;
You first came into the world.

There is no other smile
That could light the sun again
Or set the stars aright
Or guide the moon to bed when
You first came into the world.

There is no other woman
That holds such handiwork
As you do being you.
You fulfilled God’s great delight when
You first came into the world.

Heaven understands your worth.
God gave His best; His only Son
To surrender all for you my dear
For the world and just for you when
You first came into the world.

While I still live and love
I state my vow to help you know:
Your life transcends earth’s worth
God and saints did say so when
You first came into the world.

So live in joyous, reckless freedom!
No condemnation, guilt or force
Can pry you from the Father’s hand
Nor from His love can be divorced since
You first came into the world.
