When We First Met

I think about when we first met; it’s etched in your mind as well
I bet.
Checking out your sexy smile; it was on my mind for quite a
while.
You said hello with uncertainty; could you be an Angel who was sent
here to me?
I couldn’t talk and was somewhat speechless; I was unprepared
I have to confess.
I felt real nervous and completely out of place; I’m sure it was written
all over my face.
I thought that maybe I should remain quiet; I was acting shy but
you wouldn’t buy it.
You turned and smiled as you walked away; I thought about you for
the rest of the day.
I wondered if we would meet again; I believed we would but wondered
when.
I met you again at the very same spot; you were dressed quite sexy and
was looking real hot.
This time I spoke to you with lots of confidence; I knew you wouldn’t go
for that silent nonsense.
I was hoping to at least get your phone number; if I couldn’t do that
it would be such a bummer!
We sat at a table and conversed for a while; I can honestly say I liked
your style.
We decided to set up another date; I thought you might just be my Soul
Mate.
We have been a couple for a very long time; I will ask for your hand
so that you can be mine.
We have had some times that I won’t forget, and I still day dream about
“when we first met.”
