I am delighted, Howard, that you could feel the emotion. This year I have seen a Goldfinch and my daughter saw two in my yard the other day. Your visit and understanding if uplifting.👍Sara K.

Oh wow.. I just looked for the significance and meaning behind seeing bluebirds.. It's really a beautiful sign.. especially during this time as the new year has begun to unfurl.. wow.. 2023 has been such a rough year for me as well, emotionally too.. I just wanted it to fade away, whilst I accepted the lessons which it taught, but I wish 2024 will blossom with a hopeful light.. Your sijo poem conveys a very deep meaning, dear Sara.. I absolutely love it. Sending love and light to you ~ :)

Why, thank you, Hiya. I know so many people in some parts of the world are suffering through so much more than me but just watching it unfurl on TV has made the whole world grieve with them. Thanks for the kind words. Sara K

SO, I was hoping I would see them again this morning, but they did not show up or at least when I was looking out the window. They must have sought another place where there was thawed water. Also, they were probably seeking free food. I had some suet out and there were some other seeds, but in the past, they have found Rebeka and coneflower plants with seeds. My husband had cut down everything and removed the plants and covered with thick layer of leaves. Sara K
