Notes About The Poem

When Tangibles Join Prayer

When others are in need,
we sympathize with heart
and pray. That’s just a start!
The Lord wants us to feed
His sheep in word AND deed.
We all should do our part.

Those trapped in penury,
those on the streets at night,
and those who feel the bite
of loneliness don't see
a means of breaking free,
to change their dismal plight.

They'll see a brighter day
when we do more than pray.

Amen Janice. Prayer is a powerful weapon that inspires us and motivates us with ideas to act - to make a difference with what we have. Congratulations on your win. Blessings!

Amen. I have volunteered her in Kelowna at the Gospel mission ( a homeless shelter) over the years I have come in contact with many amazing people. I can say from experience that many of the residents are far more generous than some of the very affluent people I have known.

You are right, Janice. We must pray but we must also take action. We are called to be the hands and feet of Christ. Well written! Blessings, Kim M

We should never forget that there are many less fortunate than ourselves, prayer is the first port of call followed by action. Quite thought provoking Janice, good luck in the contest. Tom
