When She Walked In the Room

I know I shouldn’t be here
I needed to see you one more time
I wanted to tell you that I’m sorry
Perhaps ease my troubled mind

The times we shared were special
The things I said were the truth
I just wish it hadn’t happened the way it did
The night that she walked in the room

When she walked in the room
So did all of our memories
The many times we shared together
The years of love and tragedies

You see it wasn’t just that moment
It was years of history
I wanted to tell you that I’m sorry

The night that she walked in the room

I want to ask for your forgiveness
I hope you can understand where I am
We both married our first loves
Lord knows he is a lucky man

I know it’s getting late and you’ve got to leave
But one more thing before you go
Me leaving wasn’t about you
It’s just that first love – is so damn hard letting go

When she walked in the room
So did all of our memories
The many times we shared together
The years of love and tragedies

You see it wasn’t just that moment
It was years of history
I wanted to tell you that I’m sorry

The night that she walked in the room

[Bridge]

Years go by
Choices in life
Creating history

First loves are strong
When she came along
It knocked me off my feet

[Chorus]

Cause when she walked in the room
So did our memories
The many times we shared together
The years of love and tragedies

You see it wasn’t just that moment
It was years of history

Things have never been the same

The night that she walked in the room

Yea, never the same

The night that she walked in the room
