When Promises Are Shattered and Broken

When honored promises are shattered and broken, Who is the one who takes the blow for that mistake? When, from one, an oath is carelessly forsaken, I wonder, whose heart has the right to break? Would it be the promises' maker, Who created the fragile bond in the first place? Or would it be the heartbreaker, Who lost sight of honor when troubles he did face? Who hurts the most when a promise, Is dropped and shattered like a crystal glass? Who has it in one's memories Of a tragic heartbreak with a great mass? Yet, more importantly, what do they see? How, when a promise is broken, how on heavens do they Expect others to act? Gracious, maybe? Why are promises made to be broken? I beg of you, do say.
