When opposites collide

I live in a small condo with a unit upstairs, and there resides one very temperamental bear.. He has a darling wife, so bubbly and fair, but he can be so dark and moody, spreads his gloom every where.. At times he hears my footsteps, although I live below, so I take off my shoes and walk on tip toe.. I slept in my guest room where above he goes to bed. He claimed I banged the ceiling but it was all with in his head.. How can his wife stay positive? She has to be a saint, so many days he's doom and gloom, no vibrance in his paints.. When the yang is cloaked with ying and opposites collide, it takes a lot of angel wings to keep an even tide..

Ha ha. So clever and funny. The visuals are superb. I have had similar problems myself, but had five parrots and two dogs. Life can be so complicated. Well done. Thanks for the chuckle.

Dear Nancy, your verse paints a vivid portrait of your observational interaction and your delicate, sympathetic reaction to the couple upstairs, and draws a sharp contrast between the "temperamental bear" and his "darling wife, so bubbly and fair" - just one of many imageries that I adore in your poem! Eloquence and empathy spills with your grand finale "When the yang is cloaked with/ying and opposites collide,/it takes a lot of angel wings/to keep an even tide.." - Wow! Indeed it does! Warmest wishes my friend.. ~Susan

Dear nancy, its always something about real life that many can resonate with that you weave in such a creative manner, im sure that must be so hard , having such grumpy neighbors, and i see that often, how opposites attract; and I agree with “ When the yang is cloaked with ying and opposites collide, it takes a lot of angel wings to keep an even tide..” how poetic and eloquent! Pleasure reading you always: sending you light always
