Notes About The Poem
August Prompt

When Light Grows Quieter

The summer sun has had its peak
The days draw quicker to their close.
So when the light grows quieter,
It's settling in to sweet repose.

Humans and nature follow suit
As energy starts to wane.
We go into hibernation mode
While we shelter from the rain.

When the light grows quieter
Everything grows calm.
Until you've found you've overslept
As light no longer beats your alarm.

Some feel the melancholy of less light.
Their spirits start to dull.
However, the laws of nature show
That light too needs its lull.

Like a friend, the light will show
Even if for less.
All seasons round, the light will shine
To comfort and to bless.

Dear Natasha, We live in a world that constantly pushes us to run on high energy, maximum output, and nonstop brightness. But nature doesn't work like that, and neither do we. Recognizing that even the sun needs a rest, a lull to reset before rising again, gives us permission to stop fighting our own fatigue and just accept the seasons where we need to slow down. Really lovely work, Natasha. Blessings, Daniel

Aww, thanks Daniel. 😊... we do try to fight too hard sometimes and if we allow things to take their course as the seasons do we'd probably feel a lot more peace in life 😊 thank you for your deep thoughts, I always appreciate your insight and the time you give to reflect on what you read.
