When Life Was Good and Bright
I am only eighteen and I see a time gone,
and I miss when life was good and bright,
when I flew in flight,
to see such angel's beautiful delight,
and see those girls I loved in the limelight.
I miss those times,
when life was good and bright.
I've seen my lovers come and go,
and I've seen my lovers below,
and as our lives flow,
I came with a blow,
as the wind goes though your hair,
I truly witnessed your beauty;
I wish I could live back
when life was good and bright,
now I am still eighteen and in fright.
I fear that I'll never be with you again-
and I truly miss you,
my dear.
Let us go back to one day kisses,
and midnight embraces,
as we were face to face
and a kiss shared under a street's lamplight,
and we take a flight,
on love's wings,
a one way ticket
back to when life was good and bright.
